Morano: “What this is — it’s a federal power grab that he’s [John Kerry] seeking. Joe Biden almost declared a national ‘climate emergency’ twice during his presidency. According to the Washington Post and Politico, it would give the President COVID-like emergency powers. The Center for Biological Diversity said that a ‘climate emergency’ declaration would give 130 new unelected powers to the President, meaning he could bypass democracy…Luckily, that’s not going to happen under Donald Trump.”
Morano: “But, what’s most striking about what John Kerry said is every must participate like it’s an emergency. Everyone John?… This is a guy who was caught in Iceland flying a private jet to get an environmental award, and he said ‘Do you know who I am?’ essentially, ‘I am so important I have to fly a private jet.’ I don’t think he includes himself when he says everybody must act like we’re in a climate emergency.”
The biggest tell that there is no “climate crisis” is that the political elite lecturing us about the importance of reducing our “carbon footprint” to “save the planet” are not serious enough in their conviction to take the steps to reduce their own.
