Morano: Sen. Whitehouse was only elected in 2006, he got right to work funneling that money to his wife’s organization. It is incredible, but this is a guy who has made climate his number one issue. He has made so-called ethics a big issue. One of the things he wanted to do was apply the Rico statute to climate scientists and climate skeptics and prosecute them as organized crime.
At the same time he is funneling this money. This has been going on, as you mention, for over 15 years. We have the goods on him. He’s claiming there is nothing to see here, but his wife’s salary is directly tied to multiple votes he has voted on and bills to fund the organization which she was either a staff member with or consultant with.
Senator Whitehouse has to pay the piper. It’s been alleged that he belonged to a whites-only club. He’s got a lot of issues, but he seems to skate by in the media and even Senate ethics. We’ll see if the Senate can actually bring him under the reins and start scrutinizing his behavior.
Senator Whitehouse has given speeches and talks about ‘climate anxiety;. And he blames the baby boomers and other people for challenging climate change claims. Well, one way to ease ‘climate anxiety’ with a great therapy is to vote your family millions of dollars. That is a great way. If you have ‘climate anxiety,’ voting your family almost $3 million in Congress and personally filling your coffers, is a great way to reduce anxiety.
Morano on Canada’s new Prime Minister Mark Carney: This is actually very serious issue. This is: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Carney is going to continue, not just Justin Trudeau’s policies, but he is Justin Trudeau 2.0. He is a much more competent man and much more dangerous. Carney is the former governor of the Bank of Canada and the former head of the Bank of England. This is a man who not only knows where the bodies are buried; you could argue he helped bury them.
He is the foundational premise for net zero, the foundational premise of ESG. He is a man pushing corporate-government collusion. If you’ve ever wondered how gas-powered cart bans occurred around the world without a single vote of legislators, he’s a good reason. If you’ve wondered where climate meat restrictions came about without people voting for them, look no further than Carney. He has promoted ESG throughout the banking and finance worlds because of the ‘existential threat of climate change.’ He is trying to remake society by bypassing one little aspect — it is called democracy or the vote of legislators.
This guy is competent and dangerous. I can tell he does not like Donald Trump I do not know how well they’re going to get along. I pity Canadians at this moment.
Host: Is there any chance in Canada they can stand up to him?
Morano: I do not know. I hope they can use the model of the truckers who tried to stand up to Trudeau , but then Trudeau invoked the first ever Emergencies Act and the Canadian history that declared the trucker protests to be terrorists and got them debanked. Maybe Mark Carney will overreach so much that this will lead to a MAGA movement in Canada. It looks like dark days ahead for Canada.
